# DPDK and P4C version requirements

Hello, I’m currently conducting real-device testing, but I’ve encountered some issues. We installed p4c but the DPDK couldn’t be run.

It might help if you could provide more details on how exactly you have installed p4c.

When you say “the DPDK couldn’t be run”, do you mean you tried to run a command like `p4c-dpdk <some parameters here>` ? If so, what command did you try, and what error message did you see?
